On the wings of the audience: Spain opened Championship with the win!

IHF 25th World Women's Championship has started. The first team that had privilege of winning was the host, Spain!
Spain entered the game a bit uncertain, they are constantly leading by 1-2 goals, but in the end, the first half ended with the result of 11:10 for Spain. Argentina held up well until the halftime, but in the second half they had huge problems especially in the attack and managed to score only 3 goals!
In the second half, the audience woke up and carried Spain to a very convincing victory in the end. Silvia Navarro closed gate and had 53% save percentage (10:19)!
The most efficient in the ranks of Spain were, Alexandra Cabral Barbosa and Carmen Campos, both with the 5 goals scored.

Spanish head coach, Jose Ignacio Prades, was fascinated by the support of the audience:
"First, I wish all the best in the rest of the Championship to Argentina which had great first half and made things very difficult for us. Thanks to all the fans for the atmosphere that has been created here and helped us so much in the second half!" - said Jose Ignacio Prades.
