It has started! Patrick Wiencek renounces World Cup in Egypt!

In Germany started big campaign against holding the World Cup 2021 in Egypt. Many bundesliga clubs are against holding it. First player that renounced is Kiel's line player, Patrick Wiencek. Like his teammates from Kiel, Hendrik Pekeler, Steffen Weinhold and Domagoj Duvnjak, Patrick Wiencek had expressed himself critically about holding the World Cup in North Africa. There is no doubt that it will be more dismissals. 

National team player, Patrick Wiencek has informed national team coach Alfred Gislason and board member Axel Kromer in personal talks about not taking part in the upcoming handball World Cup in Egypt (13th to 31st January). 

“Patrick informed us early on about this decision made for personal reasons. We respect this step.” - says Kromer. 

Germany will also be without injuried Franz Semper while diagnosis for Tim Sutton who injuried his knee on Sunday is still pending.
